What CheckHarbour provides

The free property permit search checks whether matching records are available for the address entered and may show the record count, date range, jurisdiction and broad work types. When records exist, the paid CheckHarbour Property Permit Report is a one-off digital report that organizes the available permit history into a readable timeline.

The current report price is $9.99 USD. The price shown immediately before checkout is the price charged.

What the report is not

The report is an informational public-record research product. It is not a title search, home inspection, appraisal, survey, engineering opinion, code-compliance certificate, legal advice, insurance report, environmental report or guarantee about a property's condition, safety, legality or value.

Permit data and coverage

Permit records vary by jurisdiction and can contain omissions, delays, inconsistent formatting and incomplete historical coverage. A missing permit record does not prove that work did not occur or that a permit was not required. A permit record does not prove that work was completed, passed final inspection or remains compliant today.

Important findings should be verified with the relevant issuing authority and any professional checks appropriate to your transaction or project.

Choosing the property

You are responsible for entering the correct property address. CheckHarbour rechecks the property before payment and generates the report from the address submitted. If a valid but incorrect address is entered and the requested report has already been supplied, that alone does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Payment and supply

Payments are processed by Stripe. CheckHarbour does not intentionally store full payment-card details. After successful payment is confirmed, the report is generated from a fresh permit-data lookup and delivered through a private link that is designed to expire after 30 days. The report can be printed or saved as a PDF.

Immediate digital supply

Checkout asks you to accept these Terms and request immediate supply of the digital report. Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

If something goes wrong

If payment succeeds but the report cannot be generated, CheckHarbour will use reasonable efforts to make the paid report available without charging again. If the purchased report cannot be supplied, or a duplicate payment or material service failure occurs, contact [email protected] so the appropriate remedy can be considered, including a refund where appropriate.

Reasonable use

You may use a purchased report for lawful personal or business research and may save or share the PDF with people involved in that decision. You must not misuse CheckHarbour to harass individuals, scrape or circumvent access controls, interfere with the service, or present CheckHarbour data as an official conclusion of a permitting authority.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful. Subject to that, CheckHarbour is not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable third-party public records, or decisions made without appropriate independent verification.

Our Privacy notice explains how information is used for searches, checkout, report access, analytics and service operation.

Changes and complaints
